Morning breakfast is an important meal of our daily routine, but at the same time, it can be stressful to prepare something healthy and tasty daily for your family. Sandwich recipes are always on to rescue and they offer a lot of variations. The aloo sandwich is one such recipe prepared with simple aloo masala. It not only fills but supplies all required nutrients.

I have shared quite a few sandwich recipes till now and I like the spicy potato sandwich recipe because of its simplicity and taste. In this recipe, I have prepared the aloo masala or potato masala by mixing boiled potatoes and other veggies and spices. But the best part of this recipe is, that it can be prepared with leftover cooked aloo bhaji or potato masala used for masala dosa or poori. I often prepare it that way and extend it by adding it with green chutney and tamarind chutney. Either way, the spicy aloo sandwich with aloo masala is my new favorite in sandwich recipes for both breakfast and light evening snacks. Moreover, I have added grated cheddar cheese both in stuffing and also as a topping. While it certainly lifts the taste of the recipe, but is completely optional and can be skipped.

Aloo Sandwich Recipe

The recipe is extremely simple without many complications, yet some tips and recommendations for an aloo sandwich recipe. Firstly, any bread slices can be used for this recipe but I recommend using white bread slices for better results. Moreover, I have toasted the bread slices on tawa which can also be grilled in a sandwich grill or toast sandwich. Secondly, I added crushed pepper and red chilli powder to the aloo stuffing. But you can also add finely chopped green chilies to make it spicier. However, skip these spices if you are serving them to kids. Lastly, I have prepared the sandwich with only 2 breads. But you can also prepare it with 3 slices similar to a club sandwich. Apply butter spread to the third slice and place at the center of the sandwich.
