It is later de-skinned and crushed / ground to a smooth paste and mixed with boiling milk. Cardamom and saffron are added for extra flavoring and are served warm or cold.

Several brands do offer instant badam mix powder which has to be just mixed with the boiling milk. While it is certainly a time saver, be cautious about these products. These are generally prepared with high sugar concentration for a better taste of badam milk drink. In addition, it may also contain chemical preservatives for long shelf life. More importantly, the instant mix powder may not be fresh and hence you may find a foul smell in your almond milk. Therefore I would recommend this traditional way of preparing the badam milk recipe if you are planning for your kids or pregnant women. Moreover, there is nothing fresh like preparing a beverage powder with the required fresh ingredients.

Do not confuse it with the almond extracted milk which is typically used in vegan cooking. Secondly, the almond milk can also be mixed with Poha or beaten rice and served to kids as a solid food. But make sure to check your sugar content while serving to kids. Lastly, you can also powder the de-skinned almonds and store them for future use. Also, when you mix it with milk, you may see the powder getting settled at the bottom. You can consume it or sieve it before serving.
