chilli gobi recipechilli gobi recipe | gobi chilli recipe | chilly gobi recipe with step by step photo and video recipe. like any other indo chineese recipes, even gobi chilli recipe has two variants, dry and gravy recipe. this is dry version of gobi chilly and it is a ideal party starter or even served as side dish. this recipe has similar characteristics to gobi manchurian but more on spicier side with chillies.

the recipe for chilli gobi is very simple, with very less ingredients and similar to gobi manchurian recipe. so the main ingredients for this recipe is gobi or cauliflower, corn flour, maida flour, capsicum and chilli sauce. initially, corn flour and all purpose flour are used to make thin batter in which the gobi florets are dipped and deep fried to prepare crispy gobi fritters. corn flour is added to make the fritters crisp and to hold the shape. later these fritters and stir fried in chilli + tomato ketchup sauce with onion and capsicum petals. lastly it is garnished with spring onion and served immediately.

while the recipe is extremely simple, yet few tips and suggestions for a spicy chilli gobi recipe. firstly, if you are planning to prepare for kids then make sure to reduce the spice level by using less chilli sauce and green chillies. secondly, always use fresh gobi or cauliflower for gobi chilli or manchurian recipe, otherwise the end result may be soggy and less crisp. lastly, i have not added ajinomoto (msg) in this recipe, however you are more than welcome to add it. it is basically added to increase the taste and is very common in indo chineese cuisine.
