while preparing milk chocolate recipe is extremely simple, but few tips and recommendations for a perfect one. firstly, the quality of chocolate entirely depends upon the quality of cocoa powder. hence it is always recommend to use finest cocoa powder available to the chocolate recipe. secondly, i have used coconut oil as the binding agent to mix it with cocoa powder and milk powder. optionally, cocoa butter or vegetable shortening can also be used but not the normal butter. lastly, if you wish to prepare dark chocolate recipe than skip the milk powder and reduce the coconut oil to half.

Ingredients
  • ¾ cup coconut oil / cocoa butter / vegetable shortening /copha
  • 1 cup sugar, powdered
  • ¾ cup cocoa powder
  • ⅓rd cup milk powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions ( 1 cup =255 ml)
  1. firstly, firstly, melt the coconut oil by double boiler method. heat a saucepan with a cup of water.
  2. later place a large bowl, making sure it doesn’t touch the water.
  3. take ¾ cup coconut oil / cocoa butter / vegetable shortening /copha.
  4. allow it to melt on medium flame.
  5. further add in 1 cup of powdered sugar.
  6. also add ¾ cup cocoa powder and ⅓rd cup milk powder.
  7. additionally, add 1 tsp of vanilla extract for more flavours.
  8. mix well till the cocoa powder and milk powder combines well with oil.
  9. also make sure the mixture has turned smooth and silky.
  10. now scoop the mixture and pour into silicone mould. alternatively, use ice moulds.
  11. shake and tap gently to remove the air bubbles.
  12. refrigerate for 2 hours or till it sets completely.
  13. now slowly remove from the mould.
  14. also sprinkle powdered sugar.
  15. finally, serve homemade milk chocolate or store in airtight container for atleast 4 months.

  • firstly, avoid using butter as they turn sticky when combined to mixture.
  • also make sure to prepare the mixture using double boiler method. else cocoa powder will burn.
  • additionally, skip milk powder if you are preparing dark chocolate recipe.
  • finally, decorate with white milk chocolate to make it look more attractive.

    Hi, I have used pure coconut oil. I used ice moulds bt after 8hrs also same jelly state not hard like chocolate. Please suggest..
    Also can i use maids floor or only milk powder good ?

    Thanks for this wonderful recepie. As i didnt have coconut oil, i tried with homemade butter and it came out fine. Can u pls tell if sugar can be skipped altogether or substituted with jaggery/ honey/ dates?

    • ohh thats is something new. even I tried twice with butter ( not homemade one) but it failed and hence i used coconut oil. I am glad that it worked out for you. Yes I will try to put more variations to it.
