paneer frankiepaneer frankie recipe | paneer kathi roll recipe | paneer wrap recipe with step by step photo and video recipe. frankie, also popularly known as kathi roll, is a street food originated from kolkata. traditionally, kathi rolls are prepared from plain flour roti’s or plain paratha’s. these breads are then topped with stuffing prepared with various sauces. finally, the bread is then rolled to form a frankie or kathi roll.

i love to include paneer frankie in breakfast or brunch recipes during those lazy weekends mornings. i prepare frankies only with roti or chapathi’s and i do not prefer the maida roti. perhaps it would taste better, but i always use the left over chapathi’s. in this recipe i have used paneer stuffing, but you can use left over aloo bhaji or even any dry curries.

paneer kathi roll

kathi rolls or paneer kathi rolls is ideal for kids lunch boxes. kids would love paneer rolls stuffed with veggies like carrot and cabbage. optionally, you can add some grated or melted cheese to make it more cheesy and tasty. during my schooling day, even i use to get kathi rolls or frankies for my tiffin box. i use to top it with extra hot and sweet tomato sauce and it would make my day.

i have posted several kids recipe collection. check my pinwheel sandwich recipe, aloo cheese paratha, curd sandwich, cheesy bread roll. also, cheesy sandwich dosa, sweet corn soup, tomato soup, and sabudana idli recipes.
