tomato onion rasam

tomato onion rasam recipe | instant rasam recipe – no toor dal with step by step photo recipe. tomato onion rasam recipe is my husband’s invention or he use to do this during his bachelor days. he must have learnt this for his shetty friends, but he claims that he was the inventor. i really doubt about that, though but i really like this rasam recipe with just tomato and onion.

anyway, i learnt about tomato onion rasam only after my marriage. the primary reason is, this rasam recipe is a unconventional rasam recipe as it involves onions and garlic. usually we udupi cuisine does not involve any onions and garlic. and more importantly not in rasam at all. but this must be a popular rasam recipe in bunts or shetty community.

tomato onion rasam

initially when my husband informed about tomato onion rasam recipe, i was bit skeptical and not sure how this would taste. however, trust me this one of the favourite rasam recipes now. we usually prepare with when we are feeling lazy to cook something grand. i hope you would certainly try this tomato onion rasam recipe.

you can serve this with hot steamed rice with a combination of either tambli recipe or chutney recipes especially bhindi raitagulla ale bajjibatate ale bajji, vitamin soppu tambli, tomato tambli, menthe tambli and spring onion tambli

i have also published several other rasam collections like udupi rasam powder recipe. here are my few collection of sambar recipes: bende koddelmajjige hulibasale koddelsambar rice etc.
