Ingredients

  • 2 sweet corn
  • ½ tsp kashmiri chilli powder
  • salt to taste
  • ½ tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp corn flour
  • oil for deep frying

for tempering:

  • 2 tsp oil
  • 3 cloves garlic finely chopped
  • ¼ cup maggi hot and sweet tomato chilli sauce
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp pepper crushed
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  • firstly, remove the skin from the corn.
  • also take a sharp knife and scrape off the kernels slowly.
  • furthermore, transfer the kernels to a bowl.
  • and add chilli powder, salt, ginger garlic paste.
  • also add tomato sauce and give a good mix. this helps to enhance the flavour and also helps in binding corn flour to the corn.
  • furthermore add corn flour and give a good mix. make sure the kernels are dry. else add more corn flour.
  • then deep fry the corn kernels on medium heat oil.
  • also stir in between till the kernels turn crispy and golden.
  • further, drain out to a kitchen towel to remove excess oil.

tempering recipe:

  • firstly, in a large kadai heat oil.
  • further, saute garlic till they turn slightly golden brown.
  • then add maggi hot and sweet tomato chilli sauce. you can also make use of tomato sauce and chilli sauce.
  • furthermore, add vinegar, soy sauce, pepper and salt.
  • give a good mix and get sauce to a boil.
  • then add fried crispy corn to the sauce and mix well.
  • finally, serve immediately. optionally, top with few chopped spring onions.
