firstly, in a pan take 1½ cup urad dal.
roast on low flame until the dal turns aromatic.
keep roasting the dal for 10 minutes, or until it turns golden brown.
cool completely, and transfer to a mixi.
blend to fine powder without adding any water.
sieve the flour to prevent from any lumps.
now in a small mixi, take ½ cup sugar and blend to a fine powder.
add in powdered sugar to the same urad dal powder.
also, add ½ tsp cardamom powder and mix well making sure everything is combined well.
further, take ¼ cup ghee in a saucepan.
add 2 tbsp raisins and fry on low flame until raisins puff up.
add in fried raisins along with ghee to the same urad dal flour mixture.
mix well forming a moist mixture.
if the mixture is dry, add a tbsp of more melted ghee. and if the mixture turns watery, then allow to rest for 10 minutes, so it absorbs and thickens.
grease hands with ghee and prepare a ball sized ladoo.
finally, enjoy urad dal ladoo for 2 weeks when stored in an airtight container.
