Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 3 tbsp gond / edible gum
  • 2 tbsp poppy seeds / khus khus
  • 1 cup dry coconut grated
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1 cup almonds chopped
  • 1 cup cashew chopped
  • 1 cup walnuts chopped
  • 3 tbsp pistachios chopped
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 3 tbsp pumpkin seeds
  • 3 tbsp sunflower seeds
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 6 anjeer chopped
  • 400 grams dates paste
  • ½ tsp cardamom powder

Instructions

  • firstly, in a pan heat 2 tbsp ghee and fry 3 tbsp gond on low flame.
  • fry until the gond puffs up and turns crystal.
  • cool completely, and crush slightly. keep aside.
  • in the pan dry roast 2 tbsp poppy seeds until it starts to pop.
  • further, add 1 cup of dry coconut and roast until it turns aromatic and golden brown.
  • transfer to the same plate and allow to cool slightly.
  • further heat 2 tbsp ghee. add 1 cup almonds, 1 cup cashew, 1 cup walnuts, and 3 tbsp pistachios.
  • roast until the nuts turn crunchy and golden brown.
  • also add 1 cup raisins, 3 tbsp pumpkin seeds, and 3 tbsp sunflower seeds.
  • roast until the seeds turn crunchy.
  • transfer to the same plate and allow to cool completely.
  • further, add ½ tsp cardamom powder and mix all the ingredients well. keep aside.
  • in a large kadai take 2 tbsp ghee, 6 anjeer and 400 grams of dates paste.
  • cook on medium flame until the dates paste starts to melt and turns into a paste consistency.
  • add in roasted nuts and mix well.
  • combine and mix until all the ingredients are well combined. dates help in binding the nuts.
  • when the mixture is still warm, start shaping it into ladoo.
  • finally, enjoy dry fruits ladoo or store them in an airtight container for a month.
