firstly, in a large bowl take ½ cup ragi, ¼ cup rice, ¼ cup moong dal, and 10 badam.
rinse 3 times with clean water. make sure to rub and rinse well.
drain off the water and spread it on a clean cloth.
sun dry until it gets dries well.
now dry roast on low flame until it turns aromatic.
cool completely, and transfer to the mixer jar.
grind to a fine powder.
now sieve the powder using fine mesh.
ragi cerelac powder is ready, can be stored in an airtight container, and used for 3 months.
to prepare porridge, in a steel saucepan, take 1 tbsp ragi cerelac and 1 cup water.
mix well making sure there are no lumps.
keep on flame on and cook on low flame.
keep stirring until the mixture thickens and turns glossy.
finally, once the porridge turns warm, serve the Ragi Cerelac Recipe or Ragi Porridge Recipe for 8 months plus baby in a silver bowl.
