for gobi frying:
- 20 pieces gobi / cauliflower florets
- 1 cup maida / all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp corn flour / corn starch
- ¼ tsp black pepper crushed
- ¼ tsp of turmeric powder
- ½ tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- salt to taste
- water as required
- oil for deep frying
for the sauce:
- 2 tsp oil
- 1 tsp cumin seeds optional
- ½ onion finely chopped
- 1 inch ginger finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves finely chopped
- 1 spring onion finely chopped
- ½ capsicum cubed
- salt to taste
- ½ tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
- 5 tbsp tomato sauce or add as required
- 2 tsp vinegar
- 2 tsp soy sauce
batter recipe:
in a large bowl mix together take maida, corn flour, soy sauce, black pepper, kashmiri red chili powder, turmeric powder and salt.
now add little water and mix well.
dip each cooked gobi florets into the batter.
drain the fried gobi on a kitchen paper towel to remove excess oil.
gobi manchuri recipe:
in a large kadai add 2 tsp oil
add chopped onion, ginger and garlic. saute for a minute.
then add the chopped spring onions and saute well.
next fry chopped capsicum.
add salt to taste. also add some chilli powder, tomato sauce, soya sauce and vinegar.
now add the deep fried florets and give a good mix.
lastly add some chopped spring onions greens and mix.
