Ingredients

  • ¼ cup cashew / kaju
  • ¼ cup almonds / badam
  • 2 tbsp poppy seeds / khus khus
  • 2 tbsp melon seeds
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds / saunf
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 3 pods cardamom / elachi
  • 1 tbsp dried rose petals
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 4 cup milk chilled
  • few threads saffron / kesar

Instructions

  • firstly, in a small blender take ¼ cup cashew and ¼ cup almonds.
  • also add 2 tbsp poppy seeds, 2 tbsp melon seeds, 1 tsp fennel seeds, 1 tsp pepper, 3 pods cardamom and 1 tbsp dried rose petals.
  • blend to fine powder without adding any water. thandai masala powder is ready.
  • now to prepare thandai drink take few cubes of ice in a glass.
  • add in 3 tsp of prepared thandai masala.
  • pour chilled milk and mix well. allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
  • finally, serve thandai garnished with few saffron threads and dried rose petals.
