for chocolate cake:
- ¾ cup (170grams) curd / yogurt
- ¾ cup (150 grams) sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup 100 grams oil
- 1¼ cup (190 grams) maida / plain flour
- ¼ cup (20 grams) cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp baking soda
- pinch of salt
- ¼ cup milk
for frosting:
- 2 tbsp (60 grams) butter, room temperature
- 1 cup (135 grams) powdered sugar / icing sugar
- ¼ cup (20 grams) cocoa powder
- ¼ cup heavy cream chilled
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
transfer the cake batter into the round cake mould (dia: 7 inch, height: 4 inch).
level up the batter and pat the pan twice to remove the air incorporated into the batter.
cover with aluminium foil or place a pate to prevent water from entering while steaming cake.
place the cake pan into a steamer with enough water for 70 minutes.
spread the generous amount of prepared chocolate frosting over cake.
