firstly, in a large mixing bowl take ¾ cup butter and 1½ cup sugar.
beat well until the sugar and butter turn creamy and soft.
now add 2 cup milk and 1 tsp vanilla extract.
mix well making sure everything is well combined.
further, place a sieve and add 3 cup maida, 1 tsp baking powder, ½ tsp baking soda and ¼ tsp salt
sieve the flour making sure there are no lumps present.
mix well until the batter is a smooth consistency.
transfer the cake batter into the square cake mould.
place the cake tray into the preheated oven. bake the cake at 180 degree celsius or 356 degrees fahrenheit for 40 minutes.
finally, enjoy eggless sponge cake with frosting or as it is.
