Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup oil
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup maida
  • ¾ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 21 pieces dark chocolate

Instructions

  • firstly, in a large bowl take 1 cup milk, ½ cup oil, 1 tsp vinegar, 1 tsp vanilla extract and ½ cup sugar.
  • whisk and mix until sugar dissolves completely.
  • now add ¼ cup cocoa powder, 1 cup maida, ¾ tsp baking powder, ¼ tsp baking soda and ¼ tsp salt.
  • mix gently using the cut and fold method.
  • make sure to break the lumps and prepare a smooth lump-free batter.
  • further, to prepare the cake in appe pan, make sure to grease the pan really well.
  • pour the cake batter to the moulds.
  • now place a small piece of dark chocolate in the centre.
  • cover the chocolate piece with cake batter.
  • tap the appe pan twice to remove air pockets if present.
  • now place on flame keeping the flame on very low.
  • cover and cook on low flame for 10 minutes or until the cake is cooked completely.
  • after 10 minutes, open the lid and check if the cake is cooked.
  • finally, enjoy mini choco lava cake with ice cream or whipped cream.
