Ingredients

for bread vada:

  • 5 slice bread
  • 3 potato boiled & mashed
  • ½ onion finely chopped
  • 1 carrot grated
  • 2 chilli finely chopped
  • ½ tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 2 tbsp coriander finely chopped
  • ½ tsp salt
  • oil for frying

for sweetened curd:

  • 2 cup curd thick
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt

for chaat:

how to make bread vada:

  • firstly, cut 5 slice of bread and transfer to the mix.
  • pulse and grind until the breadcrumbs are formed.
  • transfer the bread crumbs into large bowl.
  • add 3 potato, ½ onion, 1 carrot, 2 chilli, ½ tsp ginger paste, 1 tsp cumin, 2 tbsp coriander and ½ tsp salt.
  • squeeze and mix well making sure everything is well combined.
  • form a soft dough.
  • now pinch a ball sized mixture and shape to round shape.
  • deep fry in hot oil, keeping the flame on medium.
  • stir occasionally, until the vada turns golden brown and crisp.
  • drain off making sure to remove excess oil. keep aside.

how to make sweetened curd:

  • firstly, in a bowl take 2 cup curd, 2 tbsp sugar and ¼ tsp salt.
  • mix well forming a smooth and silky consistency curd. keep aside.

how to prepare bread dahi bhalla chaat:

  • firstly, place the prepared dahi vada on the plate. top with a generous amount of curd.
  • then pour green chutney and tamarind.
  • also sprinkle chilli powder, cumin powder and chaat masala.
  • now garnish with boondi and coriander leaves.
  • finally, enjoy bread dahi vada as an evening tea time chaat.
