firstly, in a large bowl soak 2 cup idli rice, ½ tsp methi for at least 2 hours.
drain off the water and transfer to the mixer grinder.
grind the rice to smooth paste.
transfer the rice batter to a large bowl.
in the mixer grinder take 1 cup coconut, 1 cup rava, and water.
grind to smooth paste.
transfer the rava coconut batter and mix well.
cover and ferment for 8 hours or until the batter are well fermented.
after the batter is fermented well, mix the batter gently.
add 1 tsp salt and mix well adjusting the consistency as required.
pour the batter over the hot tawa.
cover and cook until the top of the dosa is cooked completely.
finally, enjoy cotton dosa with spicy tomato chutney.
