Ingredients

For aloo masala:

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp mustard
  • pinch hing
  • few curry leaves
  • 2 chilli finely chopped
  • ½ inch ginger grated
  • ½ onion finely chopped
  • ½ turmeric
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • ½ capsicum finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp peas
  • 3 boiled potato mashed
  • ½ tsp chaat masala
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • 2 tbsp coriander chopped

For sandwich:

Instructions

  • Firstly, in a pan heat 2 tbsp oil. Splutter 1 tsp cumin, ½ tsp mustard, pinch hing and few curry leaves.
  • Add 2 chilli, ½ inch ginger and saute well.
  • Also, add ½ onion and saute until the onions soften slightly.
  • Further add ½ turmeric, 1 tsp chilli powder and saute until the spices turn aromatic.
  • Add in ½ capsicum, 3 tbsp peas and saute for a minute.
  • Add 3 boiled potatoes, ½ tsp chaat masala, ½ tsp cumin powder and mix well.
  • add 2 tbsp coriander and mix well. Aloo masala stuffing is ready.
  • To prepare the sandwiches, spread butter on 2 slices of bread.
  • Also, spread green chutney on one side of bread.
  • Top with aloo stuffing and cheese.
  • Now add tomato sauce and cover with the bread slice.
  • Toast the sandwich on the pan till the sandwich turns golden and crispy.
  • Flip over and toast both sides to golden brown.
