Ingredients

For boiling:

  • 4 cup water
  • 3 tomato cubed
  • 10 dried red chilli
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 inch ginger

For sauce:

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp vinegar
  • 2 tbsp spring onion

Instructions

  • Firstly, in a saucepan, add enough water and 3 tomatoes, along with 10 dried red chillies.
  • Boil for 5 minutes, or until the tomato softens.
  • Drain off the tomato and transfer to the mixer jar.
  • Add 4 cloves of garlic, 1 inch of ginger and grind to a smooth paste. Keep aside.
  • In a pan, heat 2 tbsp oil and cook the tomato chilli paste.
  • Add 1 tsp of salt, 2 tsp of tomato sauce, 2 tsp of vinegar, and 2 tbsp of spring onion.
  • Mix and cook until the raw flavour is gone.
  • Finally, serve Momo Sauce or Momos Red Chutney with Momos.
