Ingredients

  • 1 muskmelon / rockmelon
  • ¼ cup sabudana soaked
  • 3 cup water for boiling
  • 3 cup milk
  • ¼ cup custard powder
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp sabja seeds soaked
  • 2 tbsp cashew chopped
  • 2 tbsp pistachios chopped
  • 2 tbsp badam chopped
  • 2 tbsp dates chopped

Instructions

  • firstly, chop 1 muskmelon / rockmelon into pieces.
  • transfer the melon to into the blender and grind it to smooth juice. keep aside.
  • in a pan take ¼ cup sabudana and 3 cup water.
  • stir and boil for 5 minutes or until the sabudana softens.
  • drain off the sabudana pearls and keep them aside.
  • in a large bowl take 3 cup water and ¼ cup custard powder.
  • whisk and mix well making sure everything is well combined.
  • transfer the custard milk mixture and cook well.
  • continue to cook until the mixture thickens.
  • further, add ¼ cup sugar and mix well. custard milk is ready.
  • cool completely and transfer the custard milk to a large bowl.
  • add prepared muskmelon juice.
  • also, add 2 tbsp sabja seeds, and boiled sabudana.
  • also add 2 tbsp cashew, 2 tbsp pistachios, 2 tbsp badam, and 2 tbsp dates.
  • mix well making sure everything is well combined.
  • chill the sharbat and finally, enjoy the muskmelon sharbat.
