for pizza dough:

  • 2 cup wheat flour / atta
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter room temperature
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¾ cup buttermilk
  • warm water for kneading
  • for cheese alternative:
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp wheat flour
  • 2 cup milk
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup eggless mayonnaise

for instant pizza sauce:

  • ½ cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp chilli sauce
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs

for toppings:

  • few capsicum sliced
  • few onion sliced
  • few tomato sliced
  • sweet corn boiled or frozen
  • chilli flakes
  • mixed herbs


wheat pizza dough preparation:

  • firstly, in a large bowl take 2 cup wheat flour, ½ tsp baking soda, 1½ tsp baking powder, 2 tsp sugar, 2 tbsp butter and 1 tsp salt.
  • crumble and mix well making sure everything is well combined.
  • now add ¾ cup buttermilk and mix well. you can alternatively add ¼ cup curd.
  • knead well, adding water as required.
  • knead to a smooth and soft dough. cover and rest for 2 hours.

cheese alternative preparation:

  • firstly, in a large kadai heat 2 tbsp butter and roast 2 tbsp wheat flour on low flame.
  • roast until the atta turns aromatic. do not brown the flour as the cheese sauce will turn brown then.
  • now add 2 cup milk and stir continuously.
  • stir until the milk is well combined with the flour.
  • cook until the sauce thickens.
  • now add ½ tsp salt and mix well.
  • transfer to a bowl and cool completely.
  • further, add ¼ cup eggless mayonnaise and mix well.
  • cheese alternative is ready. keep aside.

instant pizza sauce preparation:

  • in a small bowl take ½ cup tomato sauce, 2 tbsp chilli sauce, 1 tsp chilli flakes and 1 tsp mixed herbs.
  • mix well making sure everything is well combined.
  • instant pizza sauce is ready. keep aside.

pizza preparation:

  • after 2 hours of resting the dough, knead gently and pinch a ball sized dough.
  • dust it with wheat flour and roll gently.
  • roll to a slightly thick dough.
  • now prick with a fork to prevent from puffing while cooking.
  • place the rolled pizza base over hot tawa and cook on medium flame.
  • cook until the base is fully cooked. flip over and press gently.
  • now spread 2 tbsp of prepared pizza sauce.
  • also spread 2 tbsp of prepared cheese alternative.
  • further top with capsicum, onion, tomato and sweet corn.
  • sprinkle chilli flakes and mixed herbs.
  • cover and cook on low flame for 2 minutes.
  • finally, slice the pizza and enjoy.
