firstly, in a mixi jar take 2 cup rava. grind to fine powder, keep aside.
in a large bowl take ½ cup oil, ½ cup curd and 1 cup sugar.
whisk and mix until the sugar dissolves completely.
now add 1 cup milk and mix well.
further add powdered rava, ¼ tsp salt and mix well.
mix well making sure everything is well combined.
cover and rest for 10 minutes or until the rava is soaked well.
meanwhile, grease oil to a saucepan and line with baking paper.
after the batter has rested for 10 minutes, mix well making sure the rava has absorbed well.
add ¾ tsp baking powder, ¼ tsp baking soda, ½ tsp cardamom powder and ¼ cup milk. mix well.
now add ¼ cup red tutti frutti, ¼ cup yellow tutti frutti and mix well.
transfer the batter to the saucepan.
top with few tutti frutti.
now place the saucepan on the burner, keeping the flame on low.
cover the pan and seal the hole if any using dough.
simmer for 60 minutes, or until the cake is cooked well. alternatively, if using an oven-safe pan, then bake for 45 minutes at 180 degree celsius.
insert a skewer and check if the cake is baking completely.
finally, unmould and cut the tutti frutti rava cake to the size of your choice.
