firstly, peel the skin and grate 3 large potatoes.
soak grated potato for 5 minutes or till starch of potato is separated.
drain off the grated potato and squeeze water. make sure to squeeze well, else you end up adding more flour.
add 2 tbsp corn flour and 2 tbsp besan. add more if the potato contains more moisture.
also add ½ tsp pepper, ½ tsp cumin, 1 green chilli, 2 tbsp spring onion and ½ tsp salt.
combine well, if the batter is watery then add besan as required.
take a tablespoon full of potato mixture over hot tawa.
spread as thin as possible, of the shape of your choice.
now pour a tsp of oil around the corners.
roast the pancake or cheela on low to medium flame.
flip over and cook both sides till the cheela turns golden and crisp.
finally, serve aloo cheela or eggless potato pancakes along with green chutney.
