Ingredients

  • 7 dried kashmiri red chilli
  • ½ cup hot water to soak
  • 8 clove garlic
  • 1 inch ginger
  • ¼ tsp cumin powder / jeera powder
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  • firstly, soak 7 dried kashmiri red chilli in ½ cup hot water for 15 minutes.
  • drain off the water and transfer the chilli to blender.
  • also add 8 clove garlic and 1 inch ginger.
  • additionally add ¼ tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp chaat masala, ½ tsp sugar and ½ tsp salt.
  • blend to smooth paste adding ¼ cup water.
  • transfer to a cup and mix 1 tbsp lemon juice.
  • finally, red garlic chutney for chaat is ready to use for sandwich or chaats.
