Firstly, in a large kadai take 1½ cup atta and 1½ cup besan.
Dry roast for 5 minutes or until the flour turns aromatic.
Add 1 cup ghee and start roasting.
Also, add 3 tbsp rava, pinch saffron food colour and roast on low flame.
Roast until the flour turns golden brown and ghee releases.
Cool the flour slightly by mixing continuously.
Once the mixture is slightly warm, add 1½ cup powdered sugar, ½ tsp cardamom powder and 2 tbsp nuts.
Mix well making sure everything is well combined.
Further, transfer the mixture to the tray and level uniformly.
Top with nuts and allow to set.
Once the burfi has been set fully, cut to the required shape.
