Ingredients

  • 3 potato
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp green chutney
  • 2 tbsp tamarind chutney
  • 2 tbsp onion finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp capsicum chopped
  • 2 tbsp tomato chopped
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • ½ tsp chilli powder
  • ½ tsp chaat masala
  • ¼ tsp kala namak
  • 2 tbsp coriander finely chopped
  • sev for ganishing
  • oil for frying

Instructions

  • Firstly, peel the skin of 3 potato and cube them
  • Rinse the potato in the water to remove the starch
  • Pat dry and fry in hot oil.
  • Stir occasionally, and fry till the potato turns golden brown and crispy.
  • Drain off and sprinkle ½ tsp salt. Mix well.
  • Now add 2 tbsp green chutney and 2 tbsp tamarind chutney.
  • Also add 2 tbsp onion, 2 tbsp capsicum and 2 tbsp tomato.
  • Add the following ingredients: ½ tsp cumin powder, ½ tsp chilli powder, ½ tsp chaat masala, ¼ tsp kala namak, and 2 tbsp coriander.
  • Mix well, making sure the chutney is well combined.
  • Now serve the chaat in a plate, garnishing with some sev and onion.
