Firstly, in a pan heat 2 tbsp oil. Add 1 tsp cumin, ½ tsp kalonji, 1 inch cinnamon, 1 bay leaf, 1 inch ginger, 5 cloves garlic and 2 chilli.
Splutter the tempering on medium flame.
Add 2 onions and saute for 3 minutes until the onion softens slightly.
Keeping the flame on low add ½ tsp turmeric, 1 tsp chilli powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp cumin powder and ½ tsp salt.
Saute on low flame until the spices turn aromatic.
Add in ½ cup cream and cook till the oil separates.
Further, add 1 cup water and mix well adjusting the consistency.
Boil for 3 minutes or until the curry turns creamy.
Now add ½ tsp mango powder, ½ tsp garam masala, 2 tbsp kasuri methi and 2 tbsp coriander. Mix well.
