- Firstly, in large kadai add some water before adding 2 litre milk. 
- Stir and get the milk to a boil. 
- Now add 2 tsp lemon juice and continue to boil stirring uniforly. 
- You can see, the milk starts to get grainy texture. 
- Continue to boil till the milk reduces. 
- Add in ½ cup sugar in batches to prevent sugar from turning mixture watery. 
- Keep boiling and adding sugar in batches. 
- Continue to boil, till the milk thickens and turns creamy consistency. 
- Now add 1 tsp ghee and continue to cook till the mixture starts to separate the pan. 
- Add in ½ tsp cardamom powder, 1 tsp ghee and give a good mix. 
- Transfer to a tray lined with baking paper. 
- Cover and rest for 30 minutes, to set completely. 
- Finally, cut into desired pieces and enjoy Mawa Burfi.
