Ingredients

  • 1 cup soya chunks
  • 1 tsp salt
  • hot water
  • ¼ cup corn flour
  • ½ tsp chilli powder
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • ½ tsp salt
  • oil for frying

for sauce:

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp ginger garlic chopped
  • 2 tbsp spring onion chopped
  • ½ onion finely chopped
  • ½ capsicum cubed
  • 3 chilli slit
  • 2 tbsp chilli sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp spring onion chopped

Instructions

  • Firstly, in a bowl, take 1 cup of soya chunks, 1 tsp salt and hot water.
  • Soak for 5 minutes or until the soya softens.
  • Squeeze off the water and transfer to the bowl.
  • Add ¼ cup corn flour, ½ tsp chilli powder, ½ tsp garam masala and ½ tsp salt.
  • Mix well, ensuring the soya is evenly coated.
  • Deep fry in hot oil, keeping the flame on medium.
  • Fry until the soya turns golden and crispy. Keep aside.
  • In a pan, heat 2 tbsp oil. Add 2 tbsp ginger garlic, 2 tbsp spring onion and saute well.
  • Also add ½ onion, ½ capsicum, 3 chilli and saute well.
  • Now add 2 tbsp chilli sauce, 2 tbsp tomato sauce, 2 tbsp vinegar, 2 tsp soy sauce and ½ tsp salt.
  • Mix well, ensuring the sauces are thoroughly cooked.
  • Further add fried soya, 2 tbsp spring onion and mix well.
  • Finally, enjoy Soya Chilli Recipe with tomato sauce.
