chocolate-based ice cream recipes are always hit, for the simple fact that it is filled with the goodness of chocolate in it. however, the choco bar recipe is simply next level. previously, i had posted a simple and easy chocobar recipe, but in this recipe post, i have shown 3 ways of doing the same recipe. moreover, i have introduced a simple technique when melting and preparing the chocolate sauce. i have added a small amount of oil to the sauce, which helps to get the silky smooth consistency of the sauce. moreover, the additional 2 recipes have an extra coating of nuts in it, which takes the experience to next level. i personally like the third one, where nuts are mixed to the chocolate sauce and the ice cream bar is dipped in it.

furthermore, i would like to add some more tips, suggestions and variations to this 3 ingredient choco bar recipe. firstly, and more importantly, the chocolate sauce must be in room temperature when it is about to be dipped. otherwise the vanilla ice cream would start oozing out. secondly, in this recipe post i have used only peanuts for nut topping. but you can experiment with other nut toppings like almonds, pistachios and walnuts. lastly, you can easily store this for 2-3 months in the freezer. however, as it stays long it would lose its creaminess and start becoming hard. hence i would heavily recommend to serve it as soon as possible.

Ingredients
  

for ice cream:

  • 2 cup fresh cream
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

for outer coating:

  • 400 grams dark chocolate
  • ¼ cup oil or butter
  • ½ cup crushed peanuts

Instructions
 

  • firstly, in a large bowl take 2 cup fresh cream, ½ cup powdered sugar and 1 tsp vanilla extract.
  • beat on medium speed. you can also use a hand whisk.
  • after 2 minutes, the cream starts to thicken forming soft peaks.
  • transfer the ice cream base into the popsicle mould.
  • cover and freeze for 8 hours or until it sets completely.
  • to prepare outer coating, take 400 grams dark chocolate, ¼ cup oil in a large bowl.
  • using double boiler method, melt the chocolate completely.
  • silky smooth chocolate sauce is ready.
  • cool slightly, and transfer to a tall glass.
  • now unmould the ice cream and dip into prepared chocoalte sauce.
  • allow it to dry up without touching. plain choco bar ice cream ready.
  • to prepare crunchy choco bar, immediately after dipping into chocolate sauce, rollover crushed peanuts.
  • to prepare nutty choco bar, add 3 tbsp crushed peanuts into the chocolate sauce.
  • and then dip the ice cream popsicle into the peanut chocolate sauce.
  • allow it to dry up without touching. nutty choco bar ice cream ready.
  • finally, enjoy 3 ways choco bar.  you can freeze and enjoy for up to a month.
