it has been a while since i had posted an authentic sandwich recipe. moreover, my recent sandwich recipes were dedicated to the street food variant which is loaded with cheese and less healthy ingredients. hence i thought of posting a simple, healthy sandwich recipe. well, this recipe of chutney sandwich can be termed as a street food snack to but genuinely a healthy snack meal. the chutney is freshly prepared with fresh mint and coriander leaves without any preservatives. this can be easily stored and refrigerated for future use. if the chutney is prepared well ahead in advance, then assembling and preparing the sandwich takes only a few minutes to prepare. therefore, i would recommend preparing this sandwich for your next breakfast and serve it to the family.
furthermore, i would also like to add some additional tips, suggestions and variants to the chutney sandwich recipe. firstly, these sandwich recipes are ideally prepared with white or flour-based sandwich bread slices. you may use brown bread but avoid multi-grain or toast based bread slices. secondly, for the cheese-based sandwich, i have used the grilled pan to grill it. but if you have a sandwich grill or sandwich maker you can easily those. lastly, prepare the chutney in large quantity and use it whenever you wish to prepare this sandwich. also, you may experiment with it by adding more vegetables, like carrots, beetroots and avocado.

for green chutney:
- 1 cup coriander
- ½ cup mint
- 2 tbsp roasted gram dal
- 4 chilli
- 2 inch ginger
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- ½ tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp chaat masala
- ½ tsp aamchur
- 1 tsp sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- 3 tbsp water
for club sandwich:
- 3 slice bread, white / brown
- butter
- 4 slice potato, boiled
- 4 slice tomato
for cheese sandwich:
- 2 slice bread, white / brown
- butter
- 4 slice potato, boiled
- 6 slice cucumber
- 4 slice tomato
- 5 slice onion
- 2 tbsp cheese, grated
Instructions
how to make green chutney:
- firstly, in a blender take 1 cup coriander and ½ cup mint.
- add 2 tbsp roasted gram dal, 4 chilli, 2 inch ginger, 4 cloves garlic, and 2 tbsp lemon juice.
- also add ½ tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp chaat masala, ½ tsp aamchur, 1 tsp sugar and ½ tsp salt.
- blend to smooth paste adding 3 tbsp water.
- finally, green chutney recipe can be stored in the refrigerator for a week.
how to make club sandwich:
- firstly, take 3 slices of bread and spread butter and green chutney on one slice.
- place 4 slices of potato and place another slice of bread spread with butter and green chutney.
- now on top of bread, spread butter, and green chutney.
- place 4 slices tomato and cover with bread slice. make sure to spread bread with butter and green chutney.
- finally, cut chutney sandwich into 4 triangles and is ready to serve or pack into your lunch box.
how to make cheese sandwich:
- firstly, take a slice of bread and spread butter and green chutney.
- place 4 slice potato, 6 slice cucumber, 4 slice tomato, 5 slice onion.
- also, top with 2 tbsp cheese.
- now cover with bread slice. make sure to spread bread with butter and green chutney.
- grill the sandwich spreading butter as required.
- grill to golden brown and cut in half.
