instant bread masala dosa recipe | instant bread dosa recipe with detailed photo and video recipe. bread dosa is a easy and instant breakfast recipe.
this recipe of instant bread masala dosa was first prepared by mom last year when i visited her. initially i was skeptical about this recipe, but later i was surprised with the outcome. no hassle of soaking rice and urad dal and grinding the batter later to keep it to ferment for overnight. you may get feeling of bread taste in this dosa recipe, but if you are consuming with a coconut chutney or chana dal chutney or any chutney recipe, you will not even feel this dosa is prepared by bread slices.
i have used normal sandwich bread in this recipe, but you can certainly try multigrain bread or wholemeal bread. but the sandwich bread is optimal for this recipe as it would give a proper taste, colour and crisp to your instant dosa. one may question about the disadvantages of using the white bread or the plain flour bread, but i would counter argue with the theory of having food outside in a restaurant or in a street stall. moreover, it is ok to have once in a while 🙂
i have posted several south indian breakfast recipes, like idli collections and dosa collections. check out my instant rava uttappa recipe, oats dosa rava dosa, mysore masala dosa, dosa, plain dosa, neer dosa and sandwhich dosa. you can serve these dosas, with either chutney collections or sambar collections. also check out my other instant recipes.

notes:
- first of all, add a pinch of baking soda if you want to have good texture. however, bread do contain yeast so i have skipped.
- in addition, using sour curd makes your bread dosa perfect.
- furthermore, adding masala is optional, you can also prepare the dosa plain.
- you can use any bread like wholegrain wheat bread or white bread.
- finally, to prepare uttapam pour dosa batter bit thick and add some toppings of onion and tomato.
this is an amazing recipe…thax for sharing all the yummy recipes.
i tried this last night. i did not make masala so topped it with onion and garlic chilli powder. And added lil more of rice flour for extra crisp. we had a yummy dinner. thanks again 🙂 🙂
Curd should be fresh or sour curd we shld use can u help me out
Sour curd is ideal.
I’ve tried plenty of hebbar’s kitchen recipe and they have all turned out great. Out of all of them, the instant bread masala dosa recipe I would avoid. I tried different types of bread with the tava that they used in the video. Regular dosa’s always turn out great on that tava but this one was just too soggy and lumpy when I tried to spread too. Tried 3-4 times with different breads but didn’t make a difference. I will avoid this one.
I am so sorry to hear that. You can give try by adding a pinch of baking soda.
Quick and innovative recipe. . 🙂 can we also grind d ingredients first and then keep for 30 minutes???
You cab definitely do… i have soaked and grind later so that i can attain right consistency by adding water as required…
Hi
i tried the dosa today two issues were there first i struggled to spread instead of dosa. i was able to make uttapams and it dint turn crispy??
i read your comment above on the quality of bread .. but not able to spread any idea??
Thanks a lot for sharing amazing recipes in easy way… i try something new everyday..
keep up the good work…
spreading issue could be due to the heating of tawa. if the tawa is too hot, you would not be able to spread it. also, quality of bread also play an important role.
Hi, I tried dosa but it didn’t turn crispy as u shown in the video. I used non stick pan. Even I tried uthappam also. Thanks for your recipes. You are amazing. 🙂
i use cast iron tawa and i do get best result from it.
