RAISINS - 2 TBSP

firstly, in a pan add 2 tbsp ghee and roast 7 cashew, 2 tbsp raisins on low flame

KEEP ASIDE

once it turns golden brown, keep aside

RAVA - HALF CUP

in the remaining ghee add ½ cup rava and roast for 5 minutes on low flame. keep aside.

WATER - 1.5 CUP

in a large kadai get 1½ cup water to a rolling boil.

RAVA - ROASTED

add roasted rava slowly, stirring continuously.

NO LUMPS

the rava will absorb all the water and turns a lump-free mixture.

SUGAR - HALF CUP

now add ½ cup sugar and continue to stir.

SUGAR DISSOLVES

sugar dissolves completely and gets absorbed by rava.

GHEE - 1/4 CUP

further add ¼ cup ghee and 3 drops yellow food colour. adding food colour is completely optional.

MIX WELL

now mix well making sure everything is well combined.

SIMMER - 5 MINUTES

cover and simmer for 5 minutes making sure rava is cooked completely.

CASHEW & RAISINS

further add roasted cashew, raisins and ½ tsp cardamom powde

mix well making sure everything is well combined.

finally, enjoy sheera with khara bath or serve as prasada.
