chocolate kulfi recipe | chocolate wali kulfi | kulfi chocolate with a detailed photo and video recipe. an easy and creamy malai kulfi recipe made with full cream milk and chocolate flavour. basically a chocolaty version of the popular indian ice cream variant loaded with chocolate chip. it is generally served as dessert after a spicy meal, but can also be served as a sweet snack with family and friends.
as i was explaining earlier, kulfi is our own contribution to the ice cream categories. even though it is not as gooey or creamy like the traditional ice creams, but is loaded with the milk creaminess. i personally not a huge fan of chocolate kulfi variant and i prefer to the traditional malai kulfi. but my husband likes to try different variants and it includes chocolate and paan kulfi recipes. the basic problem for me with chocolate-based is the color. it is very difficult for me to digest the fact that kulfi is dark-colored in chocolate-based one. the other variants are more of lite in color and also feels very lite, but this is dark in colour. moreover, due to the use of chocolate chip which is smooth in texture, you get the smooth texture, but would not certainly disappoint you in taste.
furthermore, i would like to add some more tips, suggestions, and variations to chocolate wali kulfi. firstly, i would heavily recommend using full cream milk to make this recipe. avoid using skim milk as you may not get the same texture and also creamy taste. in addition, you may have to double the amount of skim milk to get the same kulfi base. secondly, you may not necessarily require kulfi mould to shape this kulfi and you may use any desired cups, mugs to shape this kulfi. lastly, these cocoa-flavored kulfi recipes can be served in myriad ways. to begin with, you can serve as it without any toppings. but you can add different types of toppings like chocolate sauce, mixed dry fruits, sabja seeds or even sevaiyaan noodles.
