Mango Kulfi Recipe | Easy 3-ingredients Mango Malai Kulfi with step-by-step photo and video recipe. Kulfi, or Indian creamy ice cream, is a popular dessert, particularly during the hot and humid summer. It is typically made with milk-based products, but can be extended with other seasonal toppings and flavours. One such seasonal flavour is mango kulfi, known for its flavour and bright colour.
The summer season is at its peak, and the sun’s heat can be easily felt across India. In addition, the summer holidays are in full effect, and the parents are actively looking for homemade, kid-friendly desserts and ice cream. Most of the time, we get something from the store that is tasty, but certainly not healthy, due to the ingredients used to make it more creamy and delicious. Mango Kulfi is a dessert known for its denser, creamier texture, thus making it an indulgent mango dessert. Further, it is much more than a simple frozen dessert; it shows a deep root of Indian desserts and the use of mangoes. This simple dessert will certainly entice your kids’ tongue, but not limited to them, and adults can enjoy it too.
Here are some additional tips, suggestions, and variants to the mango kulfi recipe. Firstly, the kulfis are best prepared with freshly homemade mago pulp. Store-bought canned mango pulp is also an easy option, but if possible, avoid it. In addition, try to use just one variant of mangoes and do not use a mixed combination. Secondly, try to select juicy and ripe sweet mangoes and avoid using sour or artificially ripened mangoes. This may introduce sourness to the kulfi dessert. Lastly, these kulfi are typically served with a stick inserted into the kulfi like an ice candy. However, it can also be served in earthen clay pots or plastic cups.
