Traditionally, it is made with rice or semolina, but can also be extended with other ingredients and vegetables. One such popular and super creamy kheer dessert is kaddu ki kheer recipe from the Hyderabadi cuisine known for its sweetness.

Kheer recipes are perhaps one of the easy and simple milk dessert recipes to be prepared. Therefore, I guess there are so many types and variants of this milk pudding. As matter of fact, if you notice I have already posted 10-12 types of kheer in my blog the list is only growing from here. Continuing this tradition, I am posting this simple and creamy Pumpkin Kheer which is super tasty because of the pumpkin grates it has. Particularly when the pumpkin grates are boiled with milk and milk solids, it absorbs it to become thick and rich. Also, the bottle has its own sweet juice and flavor which when combined with milk gives a unique and flavored taste. Do try this vegetable kheer and inform me if you liked it compared to the traditional kheer recipe.

Kaddu Ki Kheer Recipe Furthermore, some more related and additional tips suggestions, and variants to the kaddu ki kheer recipe. Firstly, the recipe is prepared with just bottle gourd and does not have any other hero ingredients with it. However, you may very well add other vegetables or even the traditional rice or semiya to make it unique. Secondly, the pudding must be loaded with dry fruits as the combination of dry fruits and bottle gourd elevates the taste. I have added the basic almonds, cashews and pistachios, but you can extend to raisins or tutti frutti too. Lastly, compared to the traditional pudding, these do not get thickened as it is rested. However, you may still add some milk or water before reheating and serving.
