An extremely simple and tasty fruit-based dessert recipe made with mixed fruits, custard, and cream. Fruit Cream Recipe | Fruit Mousse – No Gelatin Custard Mousse | Fruit Custard Mousse with step-by-step photo and video recipe. Fruit-based dessert recipes are always a popular choice across all age groups. These generally offer a combination of flavours and taste, in addition to the health benefits it has to offer. However, the same combination of fruits can even be extended to prepare a mousse recipe, and a fruit mousse recipe – without gelatin or jelly is one such recipe.

As I was explaining earlier, this recipe of mousse is prepared without the use of gelatin, agar agar, or egg yolk. Basically, these ingredients help to set the mousse and give the jelly-like texture. As a replacement for it, I have used the custard powder which in turn has corn starch and thus helps the texture. Therefore, this fruit cream dessert can also be renamed a creamy fruit custard recipe. The only difference between the traditional fruit custard and this recipe is the addition of cream. Before, adding I have beaten it to a stiff peak so that it gets the mousse texture. Therefore, once it is chilled, it gets this ideal soft jelly texture. Do try this dessert once and I am convinced you and your family would love it.

Fruit Cream Recipe Furthermore, some more related and additional tips, suggestions, and variations for fruit cream recipes. Firstly, in this recipe, I have tried to balance the taste with the combination of fruits used. Even though the recipe is open-ended, do try to balance the fruit choice by adding citrus and sweet fruits. Secondly, depending upon the type of custard powder you choose, you may have to either decrease or increase the sugar quantity. Some custard powder may come without any sweetness in it and hence you may have to increase it based on your preference. Lastly, you may extend it by adding semiya or sevai noodles or sabudana pearls on top of the fruit choice. This may extend the taste but also the cooking time.
