Papaya Halwa Recipe

Papaya Halwa Recipe | Papaya Sweet | Papaya Jelly Delight with step-by-step photo and video recipe. Halwa or dense sweet recipes are always a popular choice when we talk about Indian sweets. It is mainly the ingredients used in those sweets which make them dense and sometimes overwhelming especially after consuming them. Having said that, there are certain sweets that are lite and soft jelly in texture, and papaya delight sweet is one such simple and tasty sweet.

As I was explaining earlier, this sweet is very much inspired by my previous posts on halwa/delight recipes. However, there are so many differences in the end product when compared to my previous sweets. Firstly the sweet is very lite and less dense as compared to all my previous delight recipes. This is mainly due to the ingredients used. In other words, papaya is more lite compared to my previously used ingredients. Secondly, I personally like the taste of papaya when mixed with sugar and ghee. You get a feeling of pineapple, yet subtly different and unique on its own. Also, when ghee combines with papaya puree, it makes it so smooth and silky that the dessert just melts in your mouth. Do try this variant and let me know if you liked this type of delightful sweet recipe.

Papaya Sweet Furthermore, some more related and additional tips, suggestions and variants to the papaya halwa recipe. Firstly, be careful when you are selecting papaya for this recipe. It has to be fully ripe and sweet and more importantly not damaged or stale. This may impact the taste of the dessert and eventually the end product. Secondly, in addition to the papaya puree, you may add puree from other vegetables too. Perhaps, you can add seasonal fruits like mango, orange, or even pineapple. Lastly, having or consuming papaya introduces a lot of heat to the body, and hence be careful while consuming it. Particularly for pregnant women, it may cause an adverse effect, hence avoid this sweet.
