mango pudding recipe | mango pudding dessert | mango panna cotta with detailed photo and video recipe. basically a cold dessert recipe originated from india during the british colony in 19th century. it is typically prepared from agar or gelatin with mango puree, cream and sugar for sweet taste.
this is my first pudding recipe and i thought of to start with mango pudding dessert as it mango season currently. to be honest i am not a big fan of pudding recipe but my husband is a great fan of pudding recipes.in reality his favourite pudding is chocolate pudding recipe or in other words chocolate mousse recipe. i prepare it quite often and try to mix it up with vanilla, strawberry and even with coffee flavour. further, i always use agar agar in my pudding recipe in the place of gelatine as it contains meat content or fat. basically agar agar is the vegetarian substitute of gelatine and is mainly prepared from china grass.
while there isn’t any complicated steps in mango panna cotta or mango pudding recipe, yet i would like to share few tips. firstly, if you are comfortable with gelatine than i would recommend to use it in the place of agar agar. gelatine is most suitable for any pudding recipe. secondly, i have used fresh mangoes to prepare the pulp at home for this mango pudding dessert recipe. alternatively, you can also use store bought mango pulp but keep a check on the sugar content and add accordingly to this pudding. lastly, make sure you continuously stir the agar agar and milk mixture, otherwise the milk may stick to bottom. also, the milk has to be only heated and should not be boiled.
