palak pulao recipe | spinach pulao recipe | spinach rice recipe with step by step photo and video recipe. palak pulao is one of the easiest and healthiest rice recipe out of all the flavored rice recipe. there are several ways of preparing the palak rice recipe, but i am sharing the easiest recipe with cooked rice. this pulav recipe is ideal for tiffin boxes to be prepare in the busy mornings or even for breakfast. i am a great fan of palak, and have shared spinach soup, palak paneer, spinach medu vada, palak pakora, palakura pappu and spinach raita recipe.
spinach pulao is my moms favourite rice recipe. she prepares this recipe recipe quite frequently for her lunch boxes. she even prepares the spinach rice with the left over palak paneer curry. she refer it as palak paneer pulao and personally i like it more than just spinach pulao. perhaps, because of the spices involved in the preparation palak paneer recipe. this rice recipe goes very well with dal recipe, like dal tadka or dal fry.
well, when are talking about spinach, how can we forget about the health benefits of this green leafy vegetable. palak leaves are rich in antioxidants and has high nutritional values. it is also a good source of vitamins, minerals, magnesium and iron. also, it helps to prevent asthma, cancer, blood pressure and improves bone health.

Ingredients
- 1 cup basmati rice (cooked)
- 1 tsp ghee / clarified butter
- ¼ onion (thinly sliced)
- 2 green chilli (slit length wise)
- 1 cup palak leaves / spinach (finely chopped)
- ¼ cup peas (fresh / frozen)
- salt to taste
Instructions
- firstly, in wide pan, take a tsp of ghee. optionally, you can use oil.
- add chopped onions and green chilli. fry till they turn translucent.
- time to add finely chopped palak leaves and fry for a minute till they shrink and change its colour.
- once the palak leaves are cooked, add peas and fry till the peas are cooked.
- finally, add cooked rice and salt to taste.
- mix well without breaking rice grains. cook for a minute.
- finally, serve palak pulao with raita or as it is.
how to make palak pulao recipe | spinach pulao recipe | spinach rice step by step photo recipe:

- finally, add cooked rice and salt to taste.

- finally, serve palak pulao with raita or as it is.
notes:
- alternatively, make a puree of palak and use instead of chopped palak leaves.
- do not over cook the rice as it may turn sticky when you saute.
- furthermore, palak rice is best for kids lunch box.
- also add some cashews to make it more rich.

hi… I tried this yesterday for dinner and they all loved it… kids dont like palak … however they relished on this rice… i did make a few amendments its like by adding / sprinkling a little chings fried rice masala and maggi cube to gv it a tangy flavour… pls keep posting such wonderful recipes
