furthermore, before i wrap up the post some more additional tips, suggestions and variants to paneer tikka frankie recipe. firstly, in this recipe, i have shown how to make a wrap using wheat flour, but you can also use plain flour to make the same wrap. plain flour-based is tastier but may prefer atta based wrap and hence i used it. in addition, you can also use any leftover roti’s for the same purpose. secondly, in this recipe, i have used store-bought tikka tandoori masala, but you may use a blend of spices for the same purpose. you can use a combination of garam masala, kasoori methi, turmeric and chilli powder for the same purpose. lastly, with the paneer, you can also add other vegetables like mushroom and baby potatoes and prepare the veg tikka frankie recipe.

Ingredients
 

for frankie:

  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 1 cup maida
  • ½ tsp salt
  • water (to knead)
  • 2 tbsp oil

for marination:

  • 1 cup curd (thick)
  • 2 tbsp shan tandoori masala
  • 1 tsp shan ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 3 tsp oil
  • ½ petals onion
  • 14 cube paneer
  • 6 cube red capsicum
  • 6 cube green capsicum
  • 6 cube yellow capsicum
  • 12 cherry tomato

other ingredients:

  • oil (for roasting)
  • green chutney
  • chilli vinegar
  • cabbage (shredded)
  • onion (sliced)
  • cucumber (chopped)
  • tomato sauce

Instructions
 

how to make roti for wrap:

  • firstly, in a large bowl take 1 cup wheat flour, 1 cup maida, ½ tsp salt and mix well.
  • now add water and start to knead the dough.
  • knead to a soft dough adding water as required.
  • further, add 2 tbsp oil and start to knead the dough.
  • knead to a super soft dough. grease oil, cover and rest for 20 minutes.
  • after 20 minutes, knead the dough again for a minute.
  • pinch a ball sized dough and dust with wheat flour.
  • roll to slightly thick thickness.
  • cook the rolled roti on hot tawa.
  • cook both sides without applying oil.
  • once the roti is half cooked, spread oil on the roti.
  • cook on both sides and roti is ready to prepare the frankie.

how to marinate paneer for paneer tikka:

  • firstly, in a large bowl take 1 cup curd.
  • add 2 tbsp shan tandoori masala, 1 tsp shan ginger garlic paste.
  • also, add 2 tsp lemon juice, 3 tsp oil, ½ petals onion.
  • mix well making sure everything is well combined.
  • further, add 14 cube paneer, 6 cube red capsicum, 6 cube green capsicum, 6 cube yellow capsicum and 12 cherry tomato.
  • mix gently combining everything well.
  • now cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • after 30 minutes, insert the veggies randomly into skewers.
  • grill on a hot pan or use a tandoor to grill.
  • grill on medium flame until all sides are cooked well.
  • now to get the tandoori flavour, place hot charcoal and pour ghee.
  • cover and also the aroma to infuse for a minute.
  • finally, paneer tikka is ready to serve.
  • how to prepare kathi roll or frankie or wrap:
  • firstly, take the roti and spread 1 tsp green chutney.
  • now place 2 skewers of paneer tikka.
  • top with cabbage, onions and cucumber.
  • further, add 1 tsp chilli vinegar over it. to prepare chilli vinegar, cut 3 green chill and soak in ¼ cup vinegar for 15 minutes.
  • also, add 1 tsp tomato sauce and roll tight.
  • finally, enjoy paneer tikka frankie with tomato sauce.

how to make roti for wrap:

  1. firstly, in a large bowl take 1 cup wheat flour, 1 cup maida, ½ tsp salt and mix well.
  2. now add water and start to knead the dough.
  3. knead to a soft dough adding water as required.
  4. further, add 2 tbsp oil and start to knead the dough.

  8. roll to slightly thick thickness.

  4. further, add 1 tsp chilli vinegar over it. to prepare chilli vinegar, cut 3 green chill and soak in ¼ cup vinegar for 15 minutes.
  5. also, add 1 tsp tomato sauce and roll tight.
  6. finally, enjoy paneer tikka frankie with tomato sauce.

notes:

  • firstly, make sure to marinate the mixture for at least 30 minutes, else the flavour will not be present in veggies.
  • also, use thick curd. you can add a tsp of besan to marination to make it a thick consistency.
  • additionally, the grill uniformly turning all the sides, else one part will remain raw.
  • finally, paneer tikka frankie recipe tastes great when served hot.
