SUGAR - 800 GRAMS

firstly, prepare sugar syrup by boiling 800 grams sugar and 800 ml water.

BOIL - 5 MINUTES

boil for 5 minutes or until syrup turns sticky.

CARDAMOM POWDER

for extra flavour add ¼ tsp cardamom powder and 1 tsp rose essence. cover and keep aside.

GULAB JAMUN MIX

in a bowl add 175 grams mtr gulab jamun mix.

WATER - 1/4  CUP

add ¼ cup water and mix gently to form the dough.

SOFT DOUGH

make a soft and smooth dough without over kneading.

NO CRCKS

grease the hand with ghee and prepare small ball sized jamuns.

DEEP FRY

heat the oil / ghee on medium flame and when the oil / ghee is moderately hot, fry the jamuns.

CHANGES COLOUR

fry the balls on low flame stirring in between

SWRIL ONCE

drop the fried gulab jamuns into the warm sugar syrup.

SOAK - 20 MINUTES

cover the lid and rest for 20 minutes.

READY TO EAT

finally, the mtr gulab jamun has doubled in size. serve warm with ice cream or cold.
