cheese burst pizza recipe | how to make dominos cheese burst pizza with detailed photo and video recipe. a unique and popular pizza type which has a thick crust with yummy liquid or molten cheese inside. the topping and the spread used in this recipe is very similar to any other pizza, but is filled with molten cheese in it. in india, the recipe was introduced and popularised by the dominos.
i have shared quite a few pizza recipes including the bread pizza and tawa pizza but dominos cheese burst pizza was the most requested one. to be honest it took me several attempts to develop this recipe and hence the delay. actually, it took me 4 attempts to get the desired result and i was always failing with the cheese stuffed within the crust. i was using the normal cheese which made it gooey and elastic. later i realized that processed cheese slices especially those used in sandwiches and burgers are a good option. basically, the processed cheese melts when subject to heat as compared to mozzarella or cheddar cheese. hence it is ideal to be used in the pizza which melts during the baking process.
some other tips, recommendations and serving ideas for dominos cheese burst pizza recipe. firstly, i have used maida or all-purpose plain flour to prepare the pizza dough. having said that it can be done with wheat flour or atta too for a healthy option. secondly, vary the topping yo your choice, however i prefer to keep cheese burst pizza slightly simple. lastly, you can also stuff cheese sticks into crust of pizza to make cheese crust pizza recipe.

cheese burst pizza recipe | how to make dominos cheese burst pizza
Ingredients
for pizza dough:
- ½ cup water, warm
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp dry yeast
- 2 cup maida / plain flour / refined flour
- 1 tsp + 1 tsp olive oil
- ½ tsp salt
for toppings
- 7 slices processed cheese
- 2 tbsp pizza sauce
- ½ cup mozzarella cheese
- 3 slice tomato
- few chopped capsicum
- few chopped onion
- 7 pieces jalapeno
- 10 pieces olives
- ¼ tsp mixed herbs
- ¼ tsp chilli flakes
Instructions
- firstly, place pizza dough over pizza plate or tray
- flatten the dough by stretching with both hands.
- further, leaving a cm or more and create a dent.
- then prick with centre of dough.
- place the processed cheese slices inside leaving the sides. keep aside.
- take the rolled dough and roast on hot tawa.
- half cook both sides making sure not to cook completely.
- place the half cooked rolled dough over cheese placed pizza base.
- get the sides closer and seal tight.
- furthermore, spread pizza sauce generously leaving the sides slightly.
- then spread ½ cup of grated mozzarella cheese over the base.
- also top with tomato slices, chopped capsicum, onions, jalapeno and olives.
- and sprinkle ¼ tsp chilli flakes, ¼ tsp mixed herbs.
- further, bake in a preheated oven at 500 degrees fahrenheit or 200 to 250 degree celsius for about 15-20 minutes.
- finally, slice the cheese burst pizza and top with chilli flakes and oregano.
how to make cheese burst pizza with step by step photo:
pizza dough preparation recipe:
- firstly, in a large mixing bowl mix ½ cup warm water, 1 tsp sugar and 1 tsp dry yeast.
- rest and allow the yeast to activate.
- now add 2 cup maida, 1 tsp olive oil and ½ tsp salt.
- knead to smooth and soft dough adding more water if required.
- tuck the dough and form to a ball. place in a large mixing bowl.
- also grease the bowl from sides with olive oil to prevent dough from sticking to bowl.
- now cover the bowl tightly with cling wrap or plastic wrap and rest for about 2 hours.
- after 2 hours, dough has raised and doubled in size indicating well fermented.
cheese burst pizza preparation:
- punch the dough with fist to release down the air and knead slightly.
- divide the dough into 2 balls – 1 large and another small one.
- take a smaller ball and dust with maida.
- roll slightly thick and make sure the size is smaller than the pizza base.
- then prick with centre of dough with the help of fork to prevent from fluffing up like chapati. keep aside.
- further place the larger dough ball on dusted pizza plate or tray. alternatively use cornmeal for more crunchy texture.
- flatten the dough by stretching with both hands.
- further, leaving a cm or more and create a dent. this helps the crust to fluff slightly.
- then prick with centre of dough with the help of fork to prevent pizza base from fluffing up like chapati.
- place the processed cheese slices inside leaving the sides. keep aside.
- take the rolled dough and roast on hot tawa.
- half cook both sides making sure not to cook completely.
- place the half cooked rolled dough over cheese placed pizza base.
- get the sides closer and seal tight. making sure there is no gap for the cheese to ooze out.
- furthermore, spread pizza sauce generously leaving the sides slightly.
- then spread ½ cup of grated mozzarella cheese over the base.
- also top with tomato slices, chopped capsicum, onions, jalapeno and olives.
- and sprinkle ¼ tsp chilli flakes, ¼ tsp mixed herbs.
- further, bake in a preheated oven at 500 degrees fahrenheit or 200 to 250 degree celsius for about 15-20 minutes.

notes:
- firstly, brush olive oil over the sides of pizza crust to make pizza crust more crispy and golden brown.
- also to bake the pizza on tawa refer how to make pizza on tawa recipe.
- freeze the leftover dough in an airtight container or zip lock bag greasing with oil. the dough stays fresh for atleast a month.
- also knead the dough well, else pizza will be chewy.
- finally, bake the homemade cheese burst pizza in very hot preheated oven else, the base of pizza will be raw.
