this recipe is inspired by the tasty pizza bombs recipe which was prepared with meat stuffing. however in this recipe i have used only vegetarian stuffing like tomatoes and jalapeno. apart from that the major difference i have introduced is brushing of milk on top of dough and baked bread. i have brushed the rolled bread dough with milk which gives a nice colour once the pao is baked. in addition, i have brushed it with the mixture of butter and mixed herbs on top of the baked bread which makes it soft and gives bright colour on top of it.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup water, warm
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp dry yeast
  • cup maida / plain flour / all purpose flour / refined flour
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ¼ cup pizza sauce
  • 1 to mato, sliced
  • 6 cubes mozzarella cheese
  • 6 pieces jalapeno
  • 2 tbsp milk, to brush

other ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • ½ tsp mixed herbs, basil, marjoram, oregano, rosemary, sage, thyme
  • ½ tsp red chilli flakes
  • pinch of salt

Instructions
 

  • firstly, pinch a small ball sized pizza dough and flatten with hand.
  • spread 1 tsp of pizza sauce, and top with tomato, cheese and jalapeno.
  • bring the edges together and secure tight.
  • place it on butter paper and brush with milk.
  • further bake in preheated oven at 180 degree celcius for 15 minutes or till it turns golden brown.
  • now prepare the butter seasoning by mixing 2 tbsp butter, 2 cloves garlic, ½ tsp mixed herbs, ½ tsp red chilli flakes and pinch of salt.
  • brush over baked pav.
  • finally, serve cheesy pizza bombs hot along with some sauce.

  1. firstly, in a large mixing bowl take ½ cup warm water or milk.

  2. to that add 1 tsp of sugar. sugar helps to activate yeast.

  3. also add 1 tsp of dry yeast and give a quick mix. to prepare pizza without yeast, check out pizza without yeast recipe.

  4. allow it to rest for 5 minutes, or till the yeast activates and turns frothy.

  5. now add1½ cups of maida or wheat flour.

  6. also add 2 tbsp of olive oil and salt to taste.

  7. combine and knead for 5 minutes.

  8. knead till the dough is soft, smooth and elastic. and also bounces back when pressed. if not, knead another 5 minutes.

  9. tuck the dough and form to a ball. place in a large mixing bowl.

  10. also grease the bowl with olive oil to prevent dough from sticking to bowl.

  11. now cover the bowl tightly with cling wrap or plastic wrap and allow to rest and rise in a warm place for about 2 hours.

  12. dough has raised and doubled in size indicating well fermented.

  13. punch the dough with fist to release down the air.
