It can be a perfect lunch box or party meal and does not require any additional side dish, but it goes very well when served with curry or Manchurian sauces.

Singapore Fried Rice Recipe | Takeaway-style Fried Rice with step-by-step Photo and Video Recipe. Fried rice or flavoured rice is an integral part of Indian cuisine. It is a much-appreciated balanced meal as it offers all the required nutrients and proteins in one meal. One such easy and simple meal is Singapore fried rice, known for its spicy masala twist with fried rice.

I have posted several fried rice and street food meals. But this recipe of Singapore fried rice has to be a unique and interesting rice meal. Particularly, the combination of asian sauces with Indian spice masala makes it super unique. The fusion is mainly derived from the country’s demographics, where the two cultures meet and eventually the cuisine. The taste buds of Singaporeans have a craving for Indian spice masala and also for asian sauces. This is standard practice in most cosmopolitan cities, even in India. For instance, the kathi roll from Kolkata street was eventually developed by migrating people from Asia. This eventually became the iconic dish and gradually spread all over India.

Furthermore, some additional tips, suggestions and variations to the Singapore fried rice. Firstly, I have used pre-cooked basmati rice for this recipe. I heavily recommend using long-grain rice for all fried rice recipes. But if you run short, you can use sona masuri or ponni rice. Secondly, adding mixed vegetables, paneer, tofu, or soya is open-ended. However, try to balance and complement the ingredients with each other. Lastly, this recipe shows a vegetarian version of Singapore rice. The same recipe can be extended further by adding meat choice and egg yolk.
