Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 2 chilli, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bay leaf
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • ¾ tsp chilli powder
  • ½ tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • 2 tomato, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp peas
  • 4 cup water
  • cup rolled oats
  • 2 tbsp coriander, chopped

Instructions
 

  • Firstly, in a large kadai heat 2 tbsp ghee. add 1 tsp cumin, 1 inch ginger, 2 chilli and saute until they turn aromatic.
  • Add 1 onion, 1 bay leaf and saute until the onion softens.
  • Further keeping the flame on low, add ½ tsp turmeric, ¾ tsp chilli powder, ½ tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp garam masala and saute until the spices turn aromatic.
  • Now add 2 tomato, 1 tsp salt and cook till the tomato turn soft and mushy.
  • Add 2 tbsp peas and 4 cup water. Mix and get the water to a boil.
  • Add in 1½ cup rolled oats and mix well.
  • Cover and simmer for 5 minutes, or until the oats soften completely.
  • Add in 2 tbsp coriander and mix well.
  • Finally, enjoy Tomato Oats Recipe with raita and pickle.
