Ingredients
for boiling noodles:
- 8 cup water
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 pack noodles
- cold water, for rinsing
for hakka noodles:
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 1 chilli, slit
- 2 inch ginger, chopped
- 2 tbsp spring onion, chopped
- ½ onion, sliced
- ½ capsicum, sliced
- ½ cabbage, shredded
- 1 carrot, sliced
- 2 beans, chopped
- 2 tbsp chilli sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp tomato sauce
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper powder
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- few bean sprouts
Instructions
- firstly, in a large vessel take 8 cup water, 2 tbsp oil, 1 tsp salt.
- once the water comes to a boil, add 2 pack noodles.
- stir and boil for 3 minutes or until the noodles turn al dente. refer package instructions to know the cooking time.
- drain off the noodles and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process. keep aside.
- in a large wok heat 2 tbsp oil and add 2 clove garlic, 1 chilli, 2 inch ginger and 2 tbsp spring onion.
- stir fry on high flame.
- now add ½ onion, ½ capsicum, ½ cabbage, 1 carrot, 2 beans. stir fry until the vegetables shrink slightly.
- further add 2 tbsp chilli sauce, 2 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp tomato sauce, ½ tsp salt and ½ tsp pepper powder.
- stir fry until the sauces well combine.
- now add boiled noodles, 2 tbsp vinegar and stir fry.
- also add few bean sprouts and 2 tbsp spring onions. stir fry.
- finally, enjoy veg hakka noodles garnished with more spring onions.

chowmein hakka noodles using chings chowmein hakka noodles masala:
- firstly, in a large vessel boil 10 cup water.
- once the water comes to a boil place a pack of chings veg hakka noodles (300 gm)
- boil the noodles for 2 minutes or till it turns al dente.
- drain off the water from noodles and pour 1 cup of cold water to prevent from further cooking.
- drizzle 1 tsp oil and mix gently, to avoid noodles from sticking to each other. keep aside.
- now in a large kadai heat 3 tbsp oil.
- add ½ onion, ½ carrot, 1 cup cabbage, ½ capsicum and 10 beans.
- stir fry on high flame for 2 minutes or until vegetables shrink slightly.
- add boiled noodles and 1 pack chowmein hakka noodles masala.
- sprinkle 2 tbsp water and stir-fry 2 minutes.
- do not add any extra salt as chings masala contains salt.
- finally, serve chowmein hakka noodles garnished with spring onions.
notes:
- firstly, make sure not to overcook the noodles as they turn mushy while stir-frying.
- also, add vegetables of your choice to make noodles healthy and nutritious.
- additionally, adjust the amount of chilli sauce based on the spice level.
- finally, veg hakka noodles recipe tastes great when served hot and spicy.
