mushroom 65 recipe | mushroom pakora | mushroom pakoda with detailed photo and video recipe. yet another deep fried pakora recipe or also popularly known within the street food section as 65 recipe. it is mainly prepared with fresh button mushroom dipped in spicy besan batter which is later deep fried till crisp. it is an ideal street food which can be cherished as evening snack or as a side dish.
the recipe is very common and easy to prepare and shares the same batter recipe with other gobi 65 or baby corn 65 recipe. also mushroom 65 recipe does not have any extra marination step like any other tikka recipe and can be deep fried immediately. hence it makes it very easy and tasty snack which can be easily extended as side dish for dal rice or rasam rice for your lunch or dinner. moreover in this recipe i have used whole mushrooms and dipped into the besan batter before deep frying. but the mushrooms can also be slit to half and can follow the same steps and procedures. i personally like it with whole tender and small mushroom but if you are having a bigger mushroom than i would recommend to slit it to half before deep frying.
while the recipe for mushroom 65 is extremely simple, yet some tips, recommendations and serving suggestions for it. firstly and more importantly use fresh and firm button mushrooms for this recipe. do not use stale mushrooms and they may release its juice while deep frying. secondly, make sure the batter has to be semi thick and not watery or thick one. otherwise it can absorb more oil while deep frying hence i would recommend to test the batter before deep frying the next batch. lastly, serve these mushrooms pakora immediately when it is hot and crisp. otherwise it may turn soggy and chewy once it looses its hotness.
