tomato sandwich recipe | tomato cheese sandwich | pav bhaji sandwich with step by step photo and video recipe. a bread-based sandwich is such a versatile comfort meal. perhaps it was started with basic meat slices, and vegetable slices but since it has been introduced to indian cuisine, it has exploded with the types of stuffing it can take. particularly the street food category has fuelled more variations and one such flavoured sandwich recipe is tomato sandwich or also known as pav bhaji sandwich recipe.

i had to share sandwich recipes because it has been a while and i had not shared anything new recently on this category. i try to post and touch base on each category regularly so that a balance is maintained in my blog and eventually with my readers. therefore, i thought to share a basic and easy sandwich recipe with tomatoes. but blogging as a profession has changed a lot these days. perhaps, just a tomato cheese sandwich would have been an interesting topic 3-4 years back. but now, things have changed. the taste for simple stuff has vanished and we all crave something different within the same traditional recipe. therefore, i thought of some introducing a twist to the basic tomato sandwich with a hint of pav bhaji stuffing inside the bhaji. this alteration, not only makes it tasty and interesting but also more filling as it has a lot more vegetables in it. i would certainly recommend this sandwich for your next breakfast meal and do let me know how did you enjoy it?

furthermore, some more additional tips, suggestions and variations to the tomato sandwich recipe. firstly, bread slices are always a critical ingredient for any sandwich recipe and for this sandwich too. hence, i would strongly recommend using plain white sandwich bread slices for this recipe. avoid using multigrain, wheat or gluten-free as it may not yield the same taste. secondly, i have prepared an instant and quick pav bhaji stuffing and do not have all the vegetables as traditional pav bhaji has. but if you have any leftover pav bhaji curry from your previous day, you may use it without any hesitation. lastly, this sandwich is prepared on grilled tawa which should have the same effect as a sandwich grill. i used it just to show that it can also be used but that does not mean it is a must. you may use a plain tawa or even sandwich toast or grill for the same purpose.

finally, i request you to check my other related sandwich recipes collection with this post of pav bhaji sandwich recipe. it mainly includes my other related recipes like masala sandwich, chutney sandwich 2 ways, aloo cheese toast sandwich, masala pav, moong dal toast, eggless french toast, chilli garlic breadsticks, no bread sandwich, bombay sandwich, paneer toast. further to these i would also like to add some more additional recipe categories like,
