potato lollipop recipe | aloo lollipop | easy kids snack recipe with step by step photo and video recipe. potato-based snacks are very common across india, and are made for myriad occasions. generally, it is adapted or prepared as cutlet or patties, but can also be made as a meat alternative with similar features and perhaps taste. one such meat alternative is the potato lollipop recipe known for its texture, crispiness and the spice and savoury combination taste.

as i had mentioned earlier, this recipe is very much inspired by the chicken lollipop recipe. even i have shared the thick corn flour-based sauce which is generally added and tossed with meat-based lollipops. the stuffing and texture are very similar to aloo based cutlet or patties. but the coating of bread crumbs makes it more appetite and crispy. in addition, the moist and thick sauce takes the taste and flavour to another level. in addition to it, the thick sauce adds tenderness to some part of the lollipop with crispiness on the other side. therefore, it is a combination of moist and crispiness which makes it an ideal kids friendly snack. if you find the sauce, spicy you may avoid it completely for you or for your kids. i personally like this sauce and i make it for most of my crispy snack, but not necessary if you do not wish too.

furthermore, i would like to add some more tips, suggestions and variations to the crispy potato lollipop recipe. firstly, i would like to highlight the importance of boiled potatoes for this recipe. i have pressure cooked the potatoes, but quickly removed it so that it does not absorb moisture. if it absorbs moisture, you may not be able to shape it. secondly, i have used ice cream sticks to shape these lollipops. you may shape it like balls and poke a toothpick to shape like a lollipop. lastly, i have used panko breadcrumbs which gives a golden and crisp texture to the snack. you may use other variations like crushed oats, rusk powder and even semolina (suji or rava).

finally, i request you to check my other detailed snacks recipes collection with this post of potato lollipop recipe. it mainly includes my other detailed recipes like dabeli, goli baje, pizza bread, chegodilu, bombay mixture namkeen, aloo ke kabab, beetroot vadai, aloo paneer tikki, dal dhokla, corn vada. further to these i would also like to highlight my other recipe categories like,
